Google has continued its program for device integration into Google Assistant with two new devices types making their way into the list of supported devices types, dehumidifiers and humidifiers.

Personally, I’d like to put both in the same room and let them battle it out.

With these devices being added into the list of compatible devices it will be easier for OEMs to bring Dehumidifiers and Humidifiers to market with Google Assistant integration, and it furthers Google Assistant’s march toward device parity with Alexa.

Devices will be able to support settings like On/Off, fan speed, target humidity settings and various other features essential to managing these device types.

It’s good to see the Google Assistant team keep up with a regular cadence for rolling out new smart device types. Having a standard set of instructions not only reduces development time for 3rd parties it also improves consistency of actions for users.
