With Microsoft set to release an Android-based Surface phone this year their launcher will no doubt see a lot more attention from their developers in the lead up to the phone’s release. There’s a lot of changes in the latest update including making the early access preview public.

As with any early access: Be aware that features may not work as you expect them to or may just be broken. Only use apps like this if your device is not critical to your daily work

The new updates include changes to the user interface and adding features such as Dark Mode and continuing development of the mobile to desktop workflow.

Microsoft Launcher provides a new home screen experience that allows you to seamlessly transition between your Android phone and your PC. Microsoft Launcher makes it easy to continue viewing photos or documents on your PC, empowering you to be more productive across all your devices.

I have experimented with a number of launchers over the years for phone and tablet interface. This one has enough features and be polished enough to the point of it making an appearance on my tablet for a while.
