OnePlus have always put high end specs in their devices and at very competitive prices. This year looks set to be no different according to leaks overnight.

91Mobiles and Ishan Agarwal have gotten their hands on the spec sheets for the upcoming OnePlus 8 phones and there really is not much in there that should not be expected anyway.

According to the leak the OnePlus 8 and the 8 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 with support for dual mode 5G in the Pro version and be available in three variants: 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB UFS 3.0 storage

Both displays will feature the new 120Hz AMOLED display with the 8 having a 6.55-inch version and the Pro a 6.65-inch version. Both will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor along with a punch hole for the selfie camera.

Camera-wise the 8 will apparently have a triple rear camera with a 48MP primary lens, a 16MP ultrawide-angled lens and a 2MP lens. The Pro version though will sport a quad rear camera as well as an additional ToF sensor — five lenses?

For power the OnePlus 8 will sport a 4,000mAh battery charged by Warp Charge 30T. The Pro version though will house a 4,500mAh battery with 10V 5A SuperWarp Charge support (50W) along with 30W wireless charging — this is the first time OnePlus have included wireless charging in a smartphone having always said that it wasn’t up tot he speeds they think are acceptable. It seems that 30W is up to these standards.

The launch is expected to occur in about five weeks time around April 14, earlier than last year. Hopefully OnePlus include Australia in their plans this year given they are well on their way to conquering Europe and India but at this stage we have no inkling that this may occur. Fingers crossed.

This must be the most popular Australian Android phone that is *not* sold in Australia.
