If you’re the type of person to hold onto your phone for years, Samsung is now a premier pick. The company today announced all Galaxy devices released since 2019 will now receive security updates for a minimum of four years after release.

For most of Samsung’s lineup, that means monthly security updates, ensuring your device is protected from viruses and exploits.

Eligible devices for this program include Galaxy S phones starting from the S10, all the Fold devices, the Note 10 and 20 series, the budget Galaxy A series from the A10, the ruggedised Xcover phones and Galaxy Tab tablets from 2019 onwards.

The full list is as follows:

  • Galaxy Foldable devices: Fold, Z Fold2 5G, Z Flip, Z Flip 5G
  • Galaxy S series: S10, S10+, S10e, S10 5G, S10 Lite, S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 Ultra 5G, S20 FE 5G, S21 5G, S21+ 5G, S21 Ultra 5G
