Not every Android user uses GMail as their go to mail client, or they use their work Outlook account on their Android phone. This week, Microsoft has updated their Outlook for Android app with support for Android Wear.
In Microsofts efforts to gain relevance on mobile, they’ve been doing an outstanding job of introducing features to their own products that match up with each platform. On mobile that means offering Android users support for platforms like Android Wear. Microsoft outlined the Android Wear update in the ‘What’s New’ section of their entry on Google Play:
WHAT’S NEW
This week, we’re bringing the best of Outlook to Android Wear. Stop reaching out for your phone, everything is now happening on your watch.
Check your Outlook notifications, read your new emails and reply with pre-set messages or voice dictation right from your wrist. It’s never been that easy to manage your inbox.
The update appears to be available now through Google Play, if you use Outlook and Android Wear, make sure your app is up to date by heading to Google Play.
I haven’t got this update either 🙁
Can you please tell us which version? I have v2.0.57 installed, which by the way, is the version that is linked to the article above, and v2.0.57 does not seem to have Android Wear support.
