Find out a bit more about who’s who at Ausdroid, including our editors, contributors, podcasters, and more!
Chris Rowland Managing Editor
Chris has been at the forefront of smartphone reporting in Australia since smartphones were a thing, and has used mobile phones since they came with giant lead-acid batteries that were "transportable" and were carried in a shoulder bag.
Today, Chris publishes one of Australia's most popular technology websites, Ausdroid. His interests include mobile (of course), as well as connected technology and how it can make all our lives easier.
Scott Plowman Editor
Scott is our modding guru - he has his finger on the pulse of all things ‘moddable’, pointing us towards all the cutting edge mods hacks that are available. When he’s not gymming it up, or scanning the heck out of Nexus devices, you'll find him on the Ausdroid Podcast.
Outside of Ausdroid, Scott's a health care professional and lecturer at a well known Victorian university.
Jason Murray Assistant Editor
Before discovering the Nexus One, Jason thought he didn't need a smartphone. Now he can't bear to be without his Android phone. Jason hails from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane depending on his mood and how detailed a history you'd like. A web developer by day with an interest in consumer gadgets and electronics, he also enjoys reading comics and has a worryingly large collection of Transformers figures. He'd like to think he's a gamer, but his Wii has been in a box since he moved to Sydney, and his PlayStation Vita collection is quite lacking. Most mornings you'll find him tilting at various windmills on Twitter - follow @JM77 and say hi!
Adam Plowman Junior Reviewer
This is Scott's son, Adam. You may have seen him in some of Scott's reviews in recent times. He is 9 years old and in grade 3 and loves his tech. He, like so many kids, watches far too many YouTube videos and plays far too much Roblox on his dad's old gaming laptop. He, like his Dad, is very interested in tech and cool things.

Georgia Plowman Junior Reviewer
A pre-teen who was introduced to tech at a very early age by a father obsessed with Android and tech in general. Having used many hand-me-down tech products in the past she is now coming into her own and is progressing well helping family members trouble shoot tech problems.

Phil Tann Associate
Phil is an Android enthusiast who spends most of his time reading up on U.S. Android news so he can get the low down on what could possibly hit Australian shores. Coming from a background in IT & T sales, he’s in the perfect position to give an educated view on hardware and software.
Scott Hunt Freelance Contributor
Scott is a dual degree journalism/arts student at the University of Queensland and has been freelancing in the tech writing business for a few years now. He figured the best way to keep up with the latest tech news was to actually write about it. In his free time, Scott enjoys PC gaming, beer, and metal music.
