The OPPO Reno is currently the most talked about phone yet to be announced in the world. Some of that is because of unsanctioned leaks but much of the commentary has been provided by OPPO themselves – partly from their VP himself. Today they have leaked another mouth watering feature that makes me want one.

Today OPPO have today released details of the screen to body ratio and the bezels on the upcoming Reno. In an official announcement of sorts they have shown the phone’s front in a graphic and at the same time given us the bezel size and screen to body ratio.

As you can see above the bottom bezel is just 3.49mm, the side bezels are only 1.59mm and while there is no mention of the top bezel you can see in the image that it is exceptionally small as well. This all results in a screen to body ratio of a massive 93.1, surpassed only by last year’s OPPO Find X which had a ratio of 93.8.

The phone will arrive in at least two variants, one with a SD710 and dual rear camera setup and another with a SD855 and a rear camera that includes the periscope 10 x lossless optical zoom lens. One of the variants will be a 5G version and is expected to be one of Telstra’s first three 5G phones.

The OPPO Reno will be announced in China next week on April 10 and you can be sure we will be watching closely to see if there is any mention of 5G, Telstra or Australia – although my Chinese is rusty so we may have to get our hands on a translation afterwards.

With a mouth-watering screen to body ratio like this you can be sure people with be awestruck with it once they lay eyes on it in a Telstra store.

Do you like the look of this? Are you a fan of devices with large screen to body ratios? I know I am – I can’t wait to check it out.
