Xiaomi has been working on their slow but steady entry into the Australian market. That drive has continued with the announcement that the Mi Mix 5G and MiBand 4 are now officially available through the Mi Store.
Mi Mix 3 5G
Sporting a Snapdragon 855 processor, Adreno 640 GPU, a 6.39โ FHD Samsung display, 3800mAh battery, 5G modem and high level photography capabilities the Mi Mix 3 promises to be a premium 5G smartphone without the premium 5G price.
Mi MIX 3 5G inherits the same 12MP AI dual camera from Mi MIX 3, which received a DxOMark photo score of 108, and features all the AI features users have come to expect from Xiaomi smartphones, including 960 fps slow-motion video capabilities. For selfies, Mi MIX 3 5G offers a 24MP + 2MP dual camera setup, making great use of Sonyโs IMX576 sensor to capture more detail.
The screen-to-body ratio is amazing through the introduction of their magnetic slider for selfie camera access. The technology also allows users to set the slide function of the screen to perform any number of functions such as answering calls or opening apps.
The Mi Mix 3 5G is ready to set the 5G market ablaze with solid performance and a price equivalent to non-5G flagship devices. The phone will cost $1,399 and is available for purchase now.
MiBand 4
The MiBand 4 is the latest iteration of Xiaomiโs take on activity trackers. Itโs got a great, extremely responsive touch screen, a 135mAh battery which lasts 3 weeks or more, capability to deal with NFC payments (Chinese model) and a host of activity tracking capabilities including:
- Outdoor Running
- Treadmill workouts
- Cycling
- Walking
- Cardio
- Pool Swimming
The MiBand 4 is a solid evolution of their previous models and all at a price of just $59.95.
Our full review of the MiBand 4 is coming to the site very soon.
Xiaomi are doing themselves proud with their work in expanding markets, will you be looking at one of their devices for your next buy? Which Xiaomi would you like to see them sell here? I know a few of us had our eye on their scooters in their Mi Store in Barcelona.
Considering the added “Australia tax” for pretty much all phones, Huawei is far better value. Also, phones come with only 12 months warranty! Pass.
Can you confirm the inclusion of NFC on the Mi Band 4? I was under the impression that it was only available as an option on the Chinese domestic model.
Iโm interested in this too…if included does it work with google pay?
If it had NFC, then they’d make it obvious on the webpage. So it does not.
