We’re not too far away from the expected release of the next range of Samsung devices and — surprise, surprise — the leaks are plentiful. Android Police has obtained exclusive access to the teasers and they do look pretty. Interestingly, they also line up closely with the specs and renders we’ve already seen, the information also suggests a January 14th with availability very soon after.

The changes here are somewhat subtle in areas, starting with the fact that Samsung has dispensed with the curved edge display. The hole punch selfie camera again gets the gong with the notch remaining at the back of the room when it comes to design. Design continues to be a the forefront with the bezels continuing to be ultra-slim, perhaps a risk for clumsy users to easily breaking their phone.

Finally the camera, something Samsung is well known for delivering consistently and at a high level. This time around the offering is a 12MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and 64MP telephoto which will surely meet the expectations of the vast majority of users.

In a similar story to the previous iteration, the “+” model is little more than a larger screen and battery. If that’s what you want and/or need from a phone, you’ll likely do well to invest a bit of coin here.

Here is where we make a return to the curved edge screen and take a step up in the camera stakes. You’ll be looking at a quad camera system offering a periscope camera with 10MP 10x super-telephoto zoom, a 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP 3 x optical zoom telephoto camera.

As always there will be a lot to direct when it comes to the final delivery of the S21 devices and plenty to like. On the surface it looks like an evolutionary step rather than a massive revolution, we will know in a matter of weeks.
