Google Drive, or more accurately the apps used to update documents, spreadsheets and presentations in Drive, more commonly known as Docs, Sheets and Slides are getting an update on Android.
The focus is on Sheets this time around which features a number of updates, the first is the ability to hide the toolbars and headers when you zoom in. Once you zoom out or scroll, the headers and toolbars return, the new feature just makes it easier to view data when you’re zoomed in.
But wait, there’s more! Sheets now cross syncs filters you apply on the web to Sheets you view on Android. There’s also a new Paste Special option that allows you to copy content and then paste only the ‘associated values, formatting, formula, data validation, or conditional formatting’, Or you can paste ‘everything but borders or paste your content in a transposed order’.
Slides fans get two new features, first is the ability to insert new, as well as edit existing links in presentations from the Slides toolbar and context menu. The second feature is also coming to Docs as well as Slides, which is the ability to use Superscript and Subscript text in Docs and Slides fro Android, text can be modified to be Sub or Super from the text formatting palette.
The updates will roll out through Google Play over the next three days, but could take up to a week.
