We’ve seen a lot of growth and changes to the Google Messages app over the last 12 months. The addition of RCS, smart suggestions and reactions is just the start. Now we’re seeing even more in messages, this time it’s making attachments to your message even easier.

As originally noted by the team at 9to5Google the changes are already rolling out, not yet available universally though. What users will see is new options when you tap the + next to your message input. The additions include extra options that expand and give you options to add just about anything you want to including GIFs, Files, Contacts, your location, Weather, Restaurants and stickers.

The other improvement that has been made clearer — it’s been in place for a while — is scheduled sends options. Hopefully, some of the other suggested changes like multi-device sync will land soon, making Google Messages even better.

What features would you like to see on Google Messages to make it your go-to messaging app?
