So it seems if you’re after some mobile gaming bargains you should be keeping an eagle eye on the Play Store at the moment, more and more games are available at hot prices as we head into Christmas. A few more notables came to our attention which are worth a mention.
Minecraft: Story Mode has dropped in price to only 14 cents. When it was released in October, Minecraft: Story Mode captured a lot of interest with (despite the AU$7 price tag) hundreds of thousands of installs in the first couple of weeks running on the Minecraft reputation but adding the episodic adventure to the game.
In this five part episodic series, play as either a male or female hero named ‘Jesse,’ and embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, you and your friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion.
It’s worth noting that this is only the first episode that is reduced to 14 cents, the others are available as in-app purchases. But for the gaming geeks or perhaps you’re just curious, for the price you can’t lose.
Gameloft’s Modern Combat 4 has been reduced to $1.49 from the usual $7.99 price tag, an outstanding game (provided your hardware supports it) that has a bit of a Call of Duty feel about it with fluid game play, fantastic AI interaction and a real sense of achievement when you complete missions.
The #1 Action FPS game is back on smartphone with a new chapter to push the boundaries of mobile gaming even further. In the wake of nuclear warfare, the only chance to avoid global devastation is in the hands of the few elite soldiers who must track down and rescue the world’s leaders from a frighteningly familiar terrorist group.
Finally Leo’s Fortune has also been heavily reduced in price to only 99 cents down from $4.99, a side scrolling platform game that could perhaps be seen as a Sonic the Hedgehog look alike with some really quirky gameplay.
