If you’re a gamer on a budget, then the recently announced Nokia 5.1 Plus is a good option and it’s arriving in Australia this week for $379.

The phone features a HD+ resolution 5.86-inch edge-to-edge 19:9 aspect ratio display (with a notch) under 2.5D curved glass, making for a great platform to play games on. It’s not short of power either with a decent octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage which can be bumped up with a microSD card up to 400GB to store media on.

The additional media storage will come in handy when taking photos on the dual 13MP/5MP rear sensor which includes electronic video stabilisation that will make for steady, sharp and in-focus videos. You’ll also get great looking selfies on the 8MP front-facing camera. Nokia has included ‘Artificial Intelligence assistance’ in their camera, including a live Bokeh effect which is thanks to the dual rear cameras.

As with the all their range of phones, the phone runs stock Android with the Nokig 5.1 Plus coming with Android One (Oreo to start with, but it’s ‘Pie ready’) giving you access to two feature updates and three years worth of Security updates.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus will be available in Gloss Black from this Friday, 2nd November in Australia through JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Officeworks.
