Marshmallow
Good news everyone! Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is finally receiving its Marshmallow update here in Australia.

All three Australian carriers – Telstra, Optus and Vodafone – are advising that the rollout to Marshmallow is now either underway, about to begin, or completed. The update to Marshmallow is arriving by way of an over-the-air update around 1250MB in size, with a listing of the updates showing a new TouchWiz UI, as well as more Android specific updates like Doze are included in the update.

The update is listed as ‘Completed’ on the Optus software updates page, while Vodafone began their rollout on the 15th of July. Telstra will apparently start their rollout tomorrow, though Ausdroid reader Michael on a Telstra firmware reports he received the update last night.

If you’re a Galaxy Note 4 owner, check in your Settings for an update. If you haven’t got one yet, carriers and manufacturers generally stagger the update so keep checking.

Thanks: Michael.

You could download and install the Indian official rom since April. Better than AUS roms anyway as unlocks launcher draw.

Those that have just updated should download the Good Lock APK. It does wonders on the system UI.

Telstra Note 4 update supposed to be released tomorrow according to their website so one more day of patiently waiting. I did get 6.01 for my Telstra Galaxy Tab S2 4G two weeks ago so can’t complain.

Popped up on the weekend for me (unlocked, genric australian N4). A good update which updates the s pen functionality to be similar to the n5 🙂

I’m on Telstra, and I’ve been checking for a week now, still no update. (I’m glad I didn’t get the Note Edge!)
