If you’re looking for more data every month and you’re willing to change your mobile provider you can get a pretty great sim-only deal with Optus at the moment.
Their $50 My Plan Plus is available for new subscribers only on a 12 month contract. The plan offers all the usual features including unlimited SMS and MMS to national and international numbers. You can also get unlimited national calls and up to 500 minutes for standard international calls – and of course the icing on the cake 15GB of data.
Of course as a SIM only you’ll need to bring your own handset, so you’ll need one that supports Optus LTE bands. Optus uses the Band 3 (1800MHz) and Band 28 (700MHz) network as well as the TDD Band 40 (2300MHz) Optus 4G Plus network around Australia. You’ll probably need to check out the Optus mobile coverage map to see if your area is supported.
As a bonus, if you’re looking to stream the English Premier League you can get access to the streams if you subscribe before August 22nd.
You can check out the plan in the PDF available on the Optus website – so point Optus that way if you’re interested
thanks for the head up on this
i was already with optus on a post paid account
went and got a $2 amyasim and ported across to them and then got onto optus live chat and ported my number back
no issues at all 🙂
Offer available to new customers only. Says so in agreement. I’ve tried in the past to swap to these plans and they’ve flat out said no.
I’m on Optus’ 10GB for $50 p/m and I thought that was pretty cool. Now I need this!
Not a bad deal.
I only just switched to Optus and got the 10gb deal last week online with the Uni discount to $36 per month.
There’s always a better deal the week later. 😛
Might be worth updating that this is a web chat only deal. Contact the guys on live chat with a link to the PDF and they’ll give you the deal
I am using Amaysim on the Optus network and it works fine, but it seems Optus is now cheaper then their resellers! Is there any reason to stick with a company like Amaysim anymore?
This is an amazing deal. Surely the MVNOs will have to improve their offers.
