If you’re thinking about a new mobile phone, and not taken in by the marketing prowess of Samsung, LG, Huawei and more, then you might still be considering Google’s Pixel, the standard-setting mobile phone that’s now six months old and still extremely capable. One of the complaints at its launch was that it was a touch too expensive … and at the moment, that may no longer be the case, with JB Hi-Fi offering $100 off the outright purchase price for a very limited time.
Spotted on OzBargain earlier today, anyone who buys a Pixel today (15 Apr) will get $100 off the outright price, making the 32GB Pixel just $929, and the 128GB model $1,129.
It’s not a huge saving, but $100 off is still $100 off, and if you’re going to buy a new phone anyway, this may put the Pixel at the top of your wishlist. However, you’ll need to be quick — the Easter sale lasts until Monday 17 April, so you’ve really got today and Monday to make up your mind and get shopping. It’s worth pointing out, though, that this applies to the Pixel only, and not the Pixel XL.
If you’re interested, head on over to JB’s Easter Madness promotion page, and check out this and other products on sale this weekend.
I personally love Google Pixel phone. I wish to buy it soon.
Ye still stupidly expensive, no thanks google.
Is this the first time pixels had a deal or discount?
They’ve been pretty strict controlling the price of these things like apple is
I Paid $888 for my nexus 6 brand new in Jan 2015.
Really? Still think these a massively over priced. I was expecting these to be vastly quicker than my SD615 based phone but they are not.
I thought that was the XL for $1129. That might’ve tempted me.
Looks like $979, not $929, the ozbargain post is wrong
Pay $1000+ and in Six months Pixel 2 will be available, this is not good offer!!!.
If it 750$ I will say maybe.
