It’s been hotly anticipated and the day is finally here, after going live on the Google Store and at JB HiFi, Telstra has this morning opened up pre-orders for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on contract.
The Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL will be available for both personal and business customers with personal customers able to choose between the Go Mobile Swap and Go Mobile Plus plans, while business customers can choose from the My Business Mobile or My Business Mobile Lease plans.
Pixel 2 Go Mobile Plus Plans start at $87 per month for a 64GB model with the phone available in Just Black, Clearly White and Kinda Blue. The Pixel 2 XL on Go Mobile Plus Plans start at $104 per month for the 64GB model in Just Black and Clearly White. Both plans for the Pixel phones come with 2GB of data and unlimited talk and text for calls to standard national numbers.

As with units purchased outright, Google is throwing in a Google Home Mini speaker with their Pixel 2 sales which can be claimed via redemption. This is for a Chalk coloured version of the speaker only, and you can check out more info on how to redeem the speaker here.
The Pixel 2 phones will feature all the benefits of the Telstra 4GX network including support for Wi-Fi Calling offering call service when the Telstra network isn’t quite accessible.
If you’re purchasing on a plan from Telstra you’ll also find some decent bonus offers including the option to choose from up to three Foxtel Now Starter packs if you sign up on a plan $99 or more. Customers wanting the Business plans will be pleased to find they also qualify for a 12-month subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Business if redeemed within the first 3 months if they sign up to a $99 or more per month plan.

Sux that the pixel 2 is such a shit looking device, would loved to save some dollars and come back from the Pixel XL, but not to that shitter 🙁
Telstra Hobart store have both Pixel 2 phones on display during pre-order. They were fixed so I couldn’t check out the viewing angles properly.
So is the pixel 2 XL on track for oct 31? Google’s website seems to say no but JB/Telstra seem to say yes. I guess I’ll just go in and try to pick one up on 31/10
Telstra website says preorder before 4pm for same day dispatch. Does that mean the units will ship out early?
I think it was an error on their ordering system. They’ve been updated now and when submitting the order it advises.

Pre-orders for the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL will be delivered as of 31st October, 2017. Some orders may take between 2-5 business days to arrive, subject to delivery location.”
