Motorola’s G6 series phones are all but announced at this stage, with full specifications and renders of the phones leaked already. Now we have a date for the official announcement, with an event set to take place in Brazil later this month.

The invite to media is being sent out now, inviting media to an event in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The event will take place on April 19th – though the source doesn’t share the time on the 19th that the event will be taking place.

The colouring of the invite background has been compared to leaked renders of the phone which have shown the same green hued background on the display.

According to previous leaks, we’ll see three models in the Moto G6 range, a Moto G6 Play, a Moto G6 and a more premium Moto G6 Plus. Specs include screens ranging in size from 5.7″ to 5.93″ with processors ranging from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 to the Snapdragon 630.

Can’t find any details of the event and it’s less than 24 hours out. I did notice the lovely X4 has dropped to $499 at JB HiFi.
