The success of 2015’s Deadpool meant that we’d be seeing a sequel eventually, but no-one really expected it to be as good as it was. Deadpool 2 has arrived on digital platforms, and along with it we now get some X-Men movie deals.
The Deadpool 2 launch has skidded into Google Play with a few new deals. You can of course purchase the movie by itself for $19.99 in SD or $24.99 in HD format but it comes with an absolute butt load of extras including Gag Reels, making ofs and the Super Duper Cut which contains 15 minutes of additional footage not seen in theatres.
If you haven’t actually caught up with Deadpool yet, then you’re in for a great deal with the Deadpool 1 and 2 movie bundle available to purchase now for $29.99 in SD or $34.99 in HD.
Deadpool exists in the X-men cinematic universe, but while he’s not been brought into that side of the fold just yet, they’re certainly related. The relationship to the X-Men means we can enjoy some promotional benefits, namely a deal on X-Men movies. The original trilogy, plus the new trilogy are all on-sale, as are the two Wolverine movies…including the one with the terrible Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, and the newer and fantastic Logan which marks the end of Australian Hugh Jackmans time in the Wolverine role.
Disappointingly the X-Men: Days of Future Past – Rogue Cut isn’t included in the sale, but I can wait.
If you’re a fan of the Merc with the Mouth, and why wouldn’t you be? Then head over to Google Play and at least grab Deadpool 2 – or just some classic old X-Men movies while the sale lasts.
If you buy it through Google movies/YouTube, does this give you the extra bits, or is that only when you buy a physical copy. Anyone know?
In general it doesn’t, but Deadpool 2 specifically does. The majority of movies on Google Play don’t, which is why I ended up reluctantly going to iTunes because the majority of movies on there come with all the extras.
