Last year PAX was a hit in Melbourne with massive crowds turning up to partake in the festivities. Once again it will be coming to Melbourne this year as the centrepiece of the Victorian Government’s Melbourne international Games week (MIGW).
With MIGW occurring from 5th to the 13th OCtober this year PAX Aus 2019 will take place from 11 to 13 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Jeff’s Shed). PAX will once again showcase independent developers from the southern hemisphere, have games you can play and enjoy and have over 150 hours of live stage content.
PAX is the home of gaming culture within Australia, and in 2019 we’re excited to be offering more to the PAX community than ever beforeJono Whyman, Event Director at ReedPOP
Once again PAX will partner with EB Expo offering spaces for the world’s largest publishers showing off all the newest and biggest things in gaming, cosplay, pop culture and e-sports. This is a great opportunity to get a sneak peak of new and exciting things to come in the gaming world.
As always there will be professional e-sports as well as community tournaments that you can enter yourself. For more information head to the PAX website and check out the schedule of events for the weekend.
It will be interesting if Google make an appearance there with Stadia – you can bet that we will be keeping tabs on that and will be there to check it out should it happen.
Tickets will go fast so you had better get in early. Tickets are on sale now from the Showclix website for $65 for a single day pass and $170 for a three day pass.
Got my tickets. Much better plan than appearing on Married At First Sight.
FYI, single day passes are $65 while the 3 day pass is $170 as per the booking site.
