Computex is now in full swing and we expect there to be a lot of really cool gear being announced over the coming 36 hours or so. Razer have started the landslide with a couple of really powerful laptops aimed at content creators who want to remain mobile: The Razer Blade 15 and Razer Blade Pro 17.
It’s an interesting shift for Razer who are well known for their top tier of gaming products to a content production focus.
Both laptops come in the pictured Mercury White finish and for the videophiles among you, they’re sporting a full 4K displays. For storage and performance they’re equipped with NVIDIA® Quadro RTX™ and Core i7-9750 in the 15″ and and NVIDIA GeForce® RTX™ graphics and Core i9-9880H in the 17″ pro version. 32GB of RAM and 1TB of NVMe storage round out the need to know specs and it’s almost needless to say is the driver optimisation that Razer have delivered to ensure that performance with creative applications is maintained.
Jason Paul the GM of GeForce Software and Tech at NVIDIA commented that
The combination of NVIDIA Quadro and GeForce RTX GPUs with Razer’s sleek design and up to 4K display make for an excellent laptop for content creation. The ray tracing, AI, and 6K+ video prowess of the Razer Blade RTX Studio laptops will free artists from their desks and allow them to create amazing art from anywhere.
These are devices that are really being talked up and we’re really looking forward to seeing what they can do in the real world when they become available. Pricing and availability is yet to be announced other that “later this year”, rest assured that we’ll keep in touch with Razer PR to ensure we’re in the know when this information drops. For now though, we’ll have to be content with ogling the lovely images above.
no price = pointless review
