ALDI special buys are always interesting as they can be either a hit or a miss, but it seems they have some small tech goodies alongside the Moto G6 smartphone they are selling from next Wednesday, 21st August 2019.

The main selling point here is the sale of the Motorola Moto G6 handset, which is last years runner for the company but the deal here is that it is unlocked and can be used on any network.

Wow. Who uses a clock radio these days? It’s something from a bygone era. Like a radiogram.

Nowhere near everyone uses a search engine driven assistant, let alone has a smart speaker, or smart display.
So for that vast majority, digital alarm clocks still rule.

To prove Jeni’s point i do. I much prefer an easily glaceable digital clock vs having to turn my phone screen on. I also like having the radio there as phones inbuilt FM, like most phones, requires a cable to be plugged into the headphone jack which is a lot of effort to go to every single night if i wanted to always wake up to the radio which i kinda do. Those ABC news bullitins at 6 and 7 am are fantastic
