Asus has confirmed pricing for a number of its Zenbook lines, including the very tasty Zenbook Pro Duo that Duncan was so taken with at Computex earlier this year.
Mind you, he will have wanted to save his money wisely in the intervening time, because rather predictably, it’s not inexpensive. Asus confirmed pricing and availability for a number of new laptops today, although most have been in the retail channel for a little while in any case. The flagship Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 with a 15.6 inch 4K display and 9th generation Intel Core i9 or Core i7 has local pricing starting at a rather hefty $4499.
There’s a smaller, significantly less expensive variant, the 14” ZenBook Duo UX481. Sure, you only get a Full HD display instead, although you do also bump up to a 10th generation Core i7 CPU with NVIDIA MX250 graphics for your money, starting at $1699. That model lacks a touchscreen, with Asus indicating that a touchscreen-friendly model will arrive before the end of the year if that’s important to you.
Sitting in-between them (and also a Computex debutee now available in Australia) is the 13-inch Asus ZenBook 30th Edition laptop, which will set you back at least $2,799. That money does buy you a hand-stiched leather cover and an 18 karat rose gold plated logo, if you like that kind of thing. It’s essentially the special edition of the existing ZenBook UX334.
Joining the higher-priced ZenBooks in Asus’ local offerings are the 14 inch ZenBook UX434 from $1799, the ZenBook UX534 from $2499 and colourful VivoBook S532 from $1399.
