OK, it’s official, Pixel 4a leak season is here, and today’s edition come complete with a video hands-on. Today’s video confirms all of the previous leaks at least as far as this sample SKU is concerned.
We’re looking at approximately a 5.81-inch FHD+ display coming in at 1080 x 2340 resolution at 443 PPI. That makes this variant right between the 5.6-inch Pixel 3a and the 6-inch Pixel 3a XL. This further strengthens the idea that Google might just release a single device, neither small or large.
The display features a hole punch display on the top left including a rather conspicuous black ring. Around the back is a single 12MP image sensor which may be the same one used in the Pixel 4 line.
Inside there’s a Snapdragon 730 SOC as expected, and that’s paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and is powered by a 3,080mAh battery. For a mid-tier device they’re fantastic specs — for you storage warriors out there the lack of an SD card will be an issue, for the other 99% of you it will be great.
On the software front it’s unsurprising to see the latest Android 10 with dual SIM support and very stock looking software.
With the Pixel 4a not expected to launch for a couple more months we better strap in for more leaks to come, this ain’t over yet, not by a longshot.
