With the launch of the 2020 Google Pixel 4a expected to be only a few weeks away we’re seeing more and more legit, and non legit, leaks of the device surface. While we can’t speak to the authenticity of these renders, they do match the other leaks to date and lack the blury case encrusted nature of most of the existing leaks, so grab your salt and let’s take a look.

The Pixel 4a is expected to launch in a single variant this year, walking the middle of the road with a 5.83-inch AMOLED display featuring a punch hole camera in the upper left corner with a 8MP camera behind. Around the back will be a boxy camera bump housing the single 12.2 MP rear camera and flash.

Google has had the courage to keep the consumer-friendly 3.5mm headphone jack up top and a single USB-C charging port at the bottom. The right hand side houses the single power button and power rocker. All of this will be powered by a Snapdragon 730 paired with 4GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of RAM.

Now, lets see today’s renders:

As we said before we can’t speak to the authenticity of the renders, but based on previous leaks, Google’s design language and material selection they look fairly close to what we’re expecting. With the world’s economy under strain from the COVID-19 pandemic and the related world-wide closures to protect the planet’s population it’s very likely that more affordable devices may just see an increase in popularity.

With previous Pixel 3a line devices coming in in the $649 – $799 price range we’re expecting to see a similar range for the Pixel 4a launch. While not as cheap as some devices, the Pixel 4a will most likely represent the best value for money device for anyone who can afford that price tag.

It’s gonna be awesome! I hope.
Coupled with Google’s customer service it SHOULD be a winner!
