Imagine the surprise when I awoke to find a notification of a tweet from @googlenexus this morning. The account hasn’t posted a new tweet in nearly four years or even responded to one in over two.

There has been a suggestion that the account may be compromised, but that’s exceedingly unlikely given it’s verified and owned by Google. Were this the case, the above tweet probably would (should?) have been deleted by now.
The tweet that was timed to align with the release of the new Apple devices is clearly designed to “poke the bear”. We know the new Pixel devices are coming very soon, through the leaks we know a lot already. Apple has again, set the bar quite high so after a bit of fun like this – Google really needs to deliver when the devices finally drop.
Can’t see it. Only ‘approved followers’ can see the tweet. Screenshot available?
That’s interesting: The account wasn’t set to private this morning!
I’ve added a screenshot, thanks for the heads up on that.
