Motorola has today announced that it has launched 3 new devices across a range of price points in Australia with the Motorola edge 30, Moto g82 5G and Moto e32.
The new Motorola range is aimed at providing a suite full of features at various price points to suit any budget such as high-end visual and audio experiences, vibrant displays and great battery life that will exceed consumer expectations.
Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola, ANZ, has stated at the launch of these devices that:

Moto Edge 30
The Moto Edge 30 is one of the thinnest 5G smartphones on the market according to Motorola, with the Moto Edge 30 coming in at just 6.79 mm thin.
The Moto Edge 30 comes with a 6.5-inch OLED display (2400 x 1080) with HDR10+ built-in with the display being able to over a billion shades of true-to-life colour with improved brightness, deeper blacks and richer colours for a truly cinematic experience.
The Moto Edge 30 is powered by a Qualcomm®Snapdragon 778G+ 5G processor alongside 8GB RAM and onboard storage of 128GB.
In terms of photography and included lenses, the Moto Edge 30 comes with a triple rear camera set up made up of a 50MP main camera lens, 50MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. This camera setup is said to improve imaging quality capabilities to ensure users can take the best photos anywhere, anytime with focusing and stabilisation hardware included.
The front camera is a single 32MP camera which should ensure those infamous insta selfies or TikTok vids will certainly look true to life flawless.
The Moto Edge 30 also comes with Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2.4 GHz | 5 GHz | 6E Wi-Fi hotspot, a USB-C port (version 2.0), NFC capabilities and a Finger On Display (FOD).
The Moto Edge 30 will run Android 12 right out of the box and there is no word on when and if the Moto Edge 30 will get an update to Android 13 but will reach out for further information regarding this.
The Moto Edge 30 is available to purchase from today in Meteor Grey from the usual retailers such as JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and the Lenovo online store and from Vodafone from June 14 for $699.
Moto G82 5G
The Moto G82 5G features one of the most advanced displays ever in the moto g family, with a 6.6-inch FHD + AMOLED display (2400 x 1800 @ 402ppi) with a 120Hz refresh rate ensuring that your favourite shows and movies will come to life with deeper blacks and over a billion shades of rich true-to-life colours.
The Moto G82 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor alongside 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The Moto G82 5G also comes with a triple rear camera set-up made up of a 50MP main camera lens, alongside 8MP ultra-wide come depth sensor lens and a 2MP macro lens. Motorola states that the camera set-up does come with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) which helps remove unwanted shakes and delivers sharp photos in low-light conditions.
The front-facing camera is a single 16MP which will ensure those insta flawless selfies are picture-perfect.
Furthermore, the Moto G82 5G comes with Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac | 2.4GHz & 5GHz | Wi-Fi hotspot, USB-C port (2.0), NFC capabilities and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Moto G82 5G will run Android 12 right out of the box although no word on any possible Android 13 update we will reach out to Motorola regarding this.
The Moto G82 5G is available from June sometime (no dates provided) in Meteorite Grey and White Lily at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and the Lenovo online store for $499.
Moto e32
The Moto e32 is the more budget-conscious device at the end of the day, with the Moto e32 coming with a sleek yet sturdy and water-repellent design.
The Moto e32 comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ ultra-wide display (1600 x 720 @ 268ppi) meaning you can scroll less and see more.
Powering the Moto e32 is an octa-core UNISOC T606 with a 2xA75 + 6xA55 1.6GHz processor alongside a Mali G57 GPU, 4G RAM and 64GB built-in storage which can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.
In terms of camera set-up, the Moto e32 also comes with a triple rear camera set up made up of a 16MP main camera lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens. The front-facing camera is an 8MP lens.
The Moto e32 comes with a 3.5mm headset jack, side fingerprint reader, USB-C port (USB 2.0), Bluetooth version 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g | 2.4GHz | Wi-Fi hotspot. The Moto e32 also has dual SIM capabilities and will run Android 11 right out of the box, although no information was provided regarding an upgrade to Android 12 or 13.
The Moto e32 can be purchased from today in Misty Silver and Slate Grey at JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, Big W, Mobileciti and the Lenovo online store, with additional availability through Optus and Optus prepaid partners from May 30 for $229.

With a 720p screen, the e32 should never have been permitted to leave the drawing board, and make it to prototype, much less production.
You guys really need to grill them on Android OS updates, and security update schedules etc…
Motorola is lagging far behind what the likes of Samsung and Google are offering, so it’ll be interesting to see what they’re promising with the Edge 30, new G and E range of devices.

Agreed. Pretty much any phone available on the market (even an entry level device like the E32) would be adequate for basic usage for years to come. It is really only the lacklustre security patch support (and easier battery replacement) that prevents that. When you buy a Samsung, Google or Apple device, the extra years of support are just as important as the spec list in justifying the higher price… I would love to see more manufacturers step up their game in providing longer support (especially security patches), and also user replaceable batteries and easier screen replacement. The trade off with such user or workshop maintainability, is such devices are harder to seal and keep sealed, against dust, moisture, and fluid ingress.
