We just finish publishing a story on how the Moto E was leaked on Motorola’s Facebook page in Mexico overnight, and the leaks just keep coming! This time, Brazilian retailer Fast Shop has published some details of the upcoming Moto E on its online store today, with images and a full list of confirmed specifications.
We know the Moto E will initially come in three colours; black, turquoise and lemon, and will feature a 4.3″ display with Gorilla Glass. No resolution is specified, but HD seems unlikely in the context of the phone’s low spec aims. A 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon CPU does the heavy lifting, with 1GB RAM, 4GB storage (with Micro SD slot), a 5MP rear camera and a 1980mAh battery. There’s also dual-SIM slots, and a launch spec of Android 4.4 KitKat. Like its older brother the Moto X, the Moto E will feature interchangeable rear covers as well.
The Moto E is scheduled to be announced by Motorola on 13 May in London, and while speculation on pricing is rife, bets are on for a sub-$US 100 asking price. If that’s the target, then Moto certainly haven’t been kidding when they say they’ve been working on a smartphone for everyone.

Some interesting items in the specs when I run the source page through Google.

Connectivity: Wi-Fi + 3G
GPS: No
TV: Yes
MP3: No
Radio: Not

No 4G, not unexpected with the target price range of the device.
No GPS, annoying.
Has television, but no radio or MP3. What the Hell ?!?
This makes it perfect for a younger audience that doesn’t need a GPS, Google’s location services are accurate enough. Also cheap phone usually means small data allowance and having a tuner built in is entertainment without using data.
You missed the point of my comments.
Why have a more complex and expensive television tuner, instead of a simpler FM radio tuner, and then combine that design with no MP3 capability, on a budget device? It makes no sense to me.
Wow, I complete overlooked the no mp3 capability. This effectively makes it a portable smart tv with phone capabilities. Even then a smart tv could play MP3s. Seems this phone was made for a very specific audience.
