LG has just announced an LTE version of its new G Pad 8.0 that we first saw alongside the LG G3 launch in London.

It has the same specs as the Wi-Fi version including a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1280×800 resolution display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and Android 4.4 KitKat but comes with the addition of 4G LTE connectivity.

The G Pad 8.0 LTE will initially begin shipping in “key European countries” this week with Central and South America, Asia and CIS countries to follow. Whether the LTE version will make its way to Australia is yet to be seen, as so far we have only seen the LG G Pad 10.1 from the series make it to retail.

There’s no indication on pricing yet but we’ll update you if we hear more from LG Australia.
