The Samsung Galaxy Alpha, was described by Samsung at launch as ‘the evolution of Galaxy Design’. This new design language, as well as the metal frame used inside was continued with the recently announced Galaxy Note 4, but if the Note 4 is a little large and the Galaxy Alpha is more to your taste, you can start pre-ordering now from Yatango.
Yatango has placed the Galaxy Alpha up for pre-order in Black and White colour options – that white looks really nice – for a $864.95 ($749.95 if you’re a Yatango member), with shipping expected to begin towards the end of September. Again Yatango members make out like bandits with free shipping on offer, but if you choose to you can always pay for postage if you wish.
The Galaxy Alpha comes with some decent mid-range specs, but it’s the design that seems to be winning people over. Many who saw the phone at IFA have been saying it’s one of the best designed phones from Samsung yet. It’s not a bad looking phone, and it’s extremely light (just 115 grams), it’s got many of the features from the Galaxy S5 in a lighter, smaller body. Spec wise, the phone comes with :
- 4.7” HD Super AMOLED (1280 x 720)
- Octa Core (Quad 1.8GHz + Quad 1.3GHz)
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB on-board Storage **No micro SD Slot**
- 12MP (rear) + 2.1MP (front)
- WiFi: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac HT80, MIMO(2×2), Bluetooth 4.0 BLE / ANT+, NFC
- Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, Hall Sensor,
Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor ,Gesture Sensor, Fingerprint
Sensor, HR Sensor - Android 4.4.4 (KitKat)
- 132.4×65.5×6.7 mm @ 115grams
- 1,860 mAh Battery
There’s no word on whether Yatango will be getting the Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver or Scuba Blue coloured handsets, but if you’re in the market for a Galaxy Alpha and can’t wait for Samsung to announce it officially in Australia, then head over to Yatango and pre-order one now.
Would rather wait for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Since when are Samsung *not* offering SD card slots?
The force is strong with this one.
