Google is well known for changing the Google logo on their homepage. The joy of finding a cool new doodle on the front page can be unparalleled for some neat events – so how about waking up to find your child’s version of the Google logo on there one day? Well, you can, with Google launching their Doodle 4 Google 2015 competition.
Google is inviting school students from years 1-10 to submit a doodle based on the theme “If I could travel back in time I would…”. There’s four age groups to enter into: Years 1-3; Years 4-6; Years 7-8, and Years 9-10 with judges Leeanne Carr a curator for ARTEXPRESS and leading Australian artist Bronwyn Bancroft selecting finalists.
Final votes will go to the public to vote on their favourite doodles from each age group, with prizes going to the winning students, and a package of laptops, tablets and $10,000 worth of tech going to the students school. An overall national winner will also see their Google Doodle placed on the Google Australia homepage for the day.
Interested schools will need to register by June 20th, with Google sending information packs out this month, with Doodles needing to be submitted by August 21st.
Google Doodles are cool, so we can’t wait to see all the excellent Doodles being submitted.
