Oppo is set to launch their larger R7 Plus handset in Australia next month, and while we know the handset will cost $599, we’re now finding out a bit more about when the phone will be coming, with Oppo advising that the phone will be available for pre-order on the 7th of September.
The date for pre-orders was given in response to a Twitter enquiry from an Oppo fan (What did we do before Twitter?), and though they didn’t state it, the pre-orders will most likely be going live at Dick Smith.
Hi @hmachiato. You'll be able to pre-order the R7 Plus on the 7th of Sep for the launch soon after.
Thanks.— OPPO Australia (@OPPOMobileAU) August 26, 2015
Oppo is currently outfitting Dick Smith stores around the country with Oppo experience zones, which show off Oppo handsets and accessories, with Michael Tran, Marketing Director of OPPO Australia showing off the most recent Oppo Experience zone at the Macquarie centre on Twitter:

The Oppo R7 Plus is a larger version of the Oppo R7 which is currently on-sale at Dick Smith, the Oppo website and through Optus for $0 upfront on a $40 plan. The Oppo R7 Plus has several hardware updates with the larger chassis, including a larger 6″ display, with 32GB of onboard storage, larger 4,100mAh battery and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor.
We look forward to seeing more of the R7 Plus when it launches next month, Jason currently has the Oppo R7 and a full review will be out shortly.
