Vodafone has added a new phone to its prepaid line, with the Alcatel Onetouch Pop 2 4 4G which it is offering for $99, and yes, that is the ridiculous name of this device.
The Onetouch Pop 2 4 4G is very much aimed at the low end, entry-level marketplace but it offers some specs which on paper aren’t all that bad, maybe even quite good for the price:
- 4” WVGA TFT display (480 x 800)
- 1.2 GHz Quad-Core CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB Memory (end user space availability is 1.8GB), expandable to 32GB via microSD Card
- 5MP Rear Camera, VGA Front facing
- Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS
- 2000mAh Battery
- Network Connectivity:
- 2G: 850/900/1800/1900
- 3G: 850/900/1900/2100
- 4G: 850/1800/2600 LTE Cat 4 Ready
- Dimensions: 121.5 x 64.4 x 12.35mm @ 125g
It is a little sad that the onetouch Pop 2 4 4G only comes with Android 5.0 instead of the current 5.1.1, however this is only a small issue at best. The far bigger issue is the ludicrous name that Alcatel have gone with ..
If you are interested in the Alcatel onetouch Pop 2 4 4G, you can head into your local Vodafone store or though the Vodafone website at the low $99 price tag.
Just one little reminder that this device is locked to the Vodafone network and if you wish to unlock this device, you maybe required to pay a network unlocking fee.
