Amazon has launched an entirely new range of Kindle devices, just in time for summer, when Australians are expected to read over three billion pages on their Kindles. The lineup includes the fastest-ever Kindle Paperwhite, a redesigned Kindle Scribe, a fun Matcha-colored entry-level Kindle, and the introduction of Kindle Colorsoft, the first Kindle to feature a color display, set to launch in 2025.

Patrick Walker, Amazon Devices Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, said, “With summer just around the corner, we know reading will be at an all-time high, and our new Kindle lineup has something for everyone, no matter your reading style.”

The range starts with the new Kindle Paperwhite is Amazon’s fastest to date, featuring 25% faster page turns, a 7-inch high-contrast display, and up to three months of battery life. Waterproof and with 16GB of storage, it starts at AU$299.00 and a Signature Edition offers 32GB and wireless charging for AU$329.00

Amazon’s new entry-level Kindle is the most compact yet, weighing just 158g and featuring a 300ppi glare-free display. It comes in Black and a new Matcha color, retailing for AU$199.00. The device promises weeks of battery life and 16GB of storage.

The all-new Kindle Scribe, available for pre-order from AU$649.00, offers a larger 10.2-inch display with a paper-like texture and a new “in-book writing” feature. Users can write directly on the page with an improved Premium Pen.

Coming Soon: Kindle Colorsoft
Slated for a 2025 release in Australia, the Kindle Colorsoft will be the first Kindle to offer vibrant, paper-like color, designed for readers who enjoy illustrations and images.

All devices are available on Amazon.com.au, with select models and accessories also offered through retailers such as JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks.
