CES is a great big hive of new technology, but it’s also the showcase for new cables and the little accessories that help you to use the new technology on the market. Belkin has launched a range of new cables, adapters and accessories that connect to the new USB-C connector that we’ve seen launch on a few phones so far and will launch on many more this year.
USB-C is of course reversible, there’s also other bonuses as well which Duncan has already looked at, but until recently finding USB-C cables that weren’t from Apple or even Google in retail has been hard. I’ve had the Belkin F2CU032bt06 cable since November. I ordered it through the Belkin Australian website.
Ok I dont get it, I have the USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cable for a while now.
Whats new?
What’s ‘NEW’ is that Belkin makes high quality cables AND they’re available in-store across big box retailers in Australia. What you have is most likely some garbage cables from some no-name manufacturer you found on AliBaba or eBay that you’ll claim are superior to every form of cable ever released.
Belkin releasing cables is big news, because it means it’s easy to get access to them, easy as in walk out to a shop and grab one when you need it.
I have the cables from Belkin also which I have picked up from JB Hifi and are spec compliant.
