Want to win a trip to Google I/O with airfares and accommodation included? Google has today launched a competition to do just that and all you need to do is code up an exciting Android Experiment.
What is an Android Experiment? According to Google it’s ‘a project that utilizes the unique capabilities of the Android platform in an innovative way’. So, basically use Android in an innovative way, submit your experiment and you could win. Google has given further guidance on what to submit, advising some suggestions which include:
- Creative uses of Android’s new or distinctive features
- Projects that explore how we interact with our devices, in small and big ways
- Unique visual aesthetics
- Open source projects that can inspire other developers
- Surprise us – we want to see the amazing things you’re cooking up.
The competition is offering three inclusive trips to Google I/O 2016, which includes a ticket to Google I/O (worth $900) accomodation – which let me tell you is quite expensive in Mountain View where this years I/O is being held – and airfares, up to the value of $5,000USD.
There’s runners up prizes too of a Nexus 6P, which is still worth a fair bit, so it’s worth taking a look if you have some good ideas about using Android for something a little unique.
The competition opens today and runs until the 13th of April, with winners being announced on the 20th of April.
