Just like Google, Twitter Australia is also getting in on the election buzz, launching their own polling feature which will help you find your local polling place – as well as your democracy sausage.
Partnering with Proxima, Twitter Australia is offering Australian twitter users the chance to get a custom card showing their local polling place as well as whether that place has a sausage sizzle or cake stall planned for the July 2nd election. To access the feature you simply tweet to @AusPolling and include the hashtag #AusVotes asking where your local polling place is and you’ll get an instant reply back with the information.
The function isn’t quite live yet, with Twitter advising it will go live next week. @AusPolling are further advising Twitter users who try the feature out:

The feature will also require you to have location services turned on, and Tweeting from a desktop won’t work, with Twitter promising a Tweet reply will be sent showing you how to enable precise location sharing on your device.
Jenny Goodridge, Head of Business Development at Twitter Australia said
Twitter is already the place voters come to discuss the election in real-time, with everything from serious policy debate to sharing funny memes and GIFs. Now, voters will be able to make sure they are getting all the polling info, including the location of sausage sizzles and cake stalls, all in real time – making Twitter the one stop location for all Aussie voters.
