Instagram rolling out option to translate stories and profiles in your feed

With 500 million users, 300 million of which are active every month, Instagram is a behemoth in terms of social media. In order to grow that user base the company will begin offering a translation button on stories and profile bios written in languages other than your own.

The update will begin heading out soon, with Instagram advising that next month all users should start seeing the button on posts in another language in your feed. A picture is worth a 1,000 words, but a little context can sometimes make those pictures a little more interesting, with this button coming soon, Instagram could get a bit nicer for everyone.

In the coming month, you’ll see a translation button on feed stories and profile bios written in languages different from your own. The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined.
