Data use is growing exponentially with faster speeds available, Australians are using more data. Australian carriers are slowly starting to come around to offering more data and Kogan Mobile has today announced increased data limits for customers on the Large and Extra Large plans.
The data increase comes with no increase in price for customers on these plans. The increase offers customers on the Large plan 8GB of data, a 3GB increase for $36.90 per month, while customers on the Extra Large plans will now have an extra 1GB of data to download per month with 12GB in total for $49.90 per month. Both plans offer unlimited national standard calls and text.
Pricing is listed for purchasing on 30-day terms, but Kogan Mobile offers slightly better deals for those purchasing 90-day or 365-day packs.
Ruslan Kogan, Founder and CEO, Kogan.com said of the new data limits
It’s clear that Aussies want more data and we’re committed to giving our customers exactly what they want. By giving our customers more mobile data, they can stay connected with friends and family around the world, stream more content, download more apps and maybe even save some time and money by doing more of their shopping online.
The announcement comes just three months after Kogan started offering their customer 4G service. Kogan uses the Vodafone 4G network, a network that was shown in an OpenSignal report earlier this year to have similar network access times as Telstra.
Kogan Mobile has already turned on the additional data over the weekend, so existing customers should see the new data limits now.
