After a drawn out announcement for Google I/O 2017, Google has updated their event website to advise that the ticket application window for the event will be open from 10am PST February 22nd through to 5pm February 27.

It’s likely that Google will repeat their usual lottery system of assigning tickets for attending the 3 day conference which will be held at Shoreline Amphitheatre again this year from May 17-19.

Tickets for the event generally run from $300USD for student tickets (you need to prove you’re a student) up to $900USD for a full price ticket. Tickets have in earlier years included a range of hardware, however last year there were no ‘freebies’ included beyond a few basics like a t-shirt, and other things that could be used to beat the outdoor sun such as sunglasses, water bottle and do-rag.

The event will include a keynote address on the morning of day 1 at which time the next version of Android – ‘O’ – should be outlined in great detail, as well as other upcoming Google products announced.

The Google I/O tickets will be open for application from 5am AEDT on the 23rd of February through to 12pm on the 28th of Febraury through the Google I/O 2017 website . We’ll surely hear more about the ticket application process in the lead up to the window opening.
