Samsung have lifted the lid on the Galaxy Nexus here in Australia. The 5.3-inch device is available now from Optus and Vodafone for $0 on $79 and $5 on $59 respectively — Telstra will also be launching it (we told you!) in April with pricing unannounced. The Galaxy Nexus will also be available for purchase outright (and network unlocked) for $899 — $200 more than the $699 price MobiCity are offering.
Out of the box the Galaxy Note will be running Android 2.3 ‘Gingerbread’. Samsung are hoping to have Ice Cream Sandwich available to users during the second quarter of this year, but don’t get your hopes up on that time frame.
Specs for the Galaxy Note include:
- 5.3-inch 1280×800 Super AMOLED HD display w/ S-Pen
- 1.4GHz Dual-Core CPU
- Android 2.3 (Android 4.0 coming in an update)
- HSPA+ 21Mbps 850/900/1900/2100MHz
- Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0
