Optus and Motorola have just announced the Motorola Razr V, which will be available from tomorrow at Optus stores and Optus resellers on a 24 month contract at $35 per month with a monthly handset repayment of $4 per month the total cost of the package is $936. The phone is being aimed as a stylish yet value packed handest and feature wise that’s exactly where it sits. The new phone packs a respectable amount of hardware into a Kevlar backed body that is only 8.4mm thin.

This is the first phone we’ve seen from Motorola since the acquisition by Google was completed back in May, however this phone would probably have been in development long before Google would have had any chance to influence much in terms of design or price.
I personally like the design of the Razr series phones and would love to see a Nexus Razr but branding agreements with Verizon and the sense that Google will avoid using Motorola as a manufacturer for their Nexus line for a fair while means this probably won’t happen in the near future.
How is this different from the normal razr other than its thicker and wasting space with on screen buttons? Where is the AU razr maxx? (Preferably with LTE)
This phone also wont see 4.1 till 5 is out as well. Motorola never support their phones out side of the US.
i hate the icons that the manufacturers opt for over the stock google ones, (like the people and phone icons).
Biggest problem with this unit … IT’S A MOTOROLA … the company that offers absolutely no customer service what so ever, I could go on but anyone who buys a MotoFail will find out for themselves. Just don’t even though they are now associated with google, expect any timely updates.
