After the Gear Fit 2 Pro leaked ahead of the official announcement, it seems Samsung can’t catch a break with the Samsung Gear Sport (SM-R600) leaking now as well.

The updated watch will apparently be another in the Gear line of Tizen powered smartwatches from Samsung, though this one is aimed at swimmers. A heart rate monitor and waterproofing up to 5 ATM (basically you can pretty much go diving with it) should make for one great sports watch for swimmers.

There’s no word on other features like GPS, but it’s presumed to support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but other options like NFC which previous Gear S watches have supported for Samsung Pay compatibility make it likely we’ll see this on-board as well.

According to DJ Koh, president of Samsung’s mobile division, in an interview with CNBC, Samsung will launch the ‘next generation of the Gear S series of smartwatches will be launched at IFA.’ This would likely include that Gear Fit 2 Pro as well.

The Samsung IFA event is scheduled for the 30th of August, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see what they have officially.
