For those of you who’ve been waiting, Google’s big smart speaker, the Google Home Max, has today gone on-sale on the Google Store online as well as at selected Australian retailers.

The speaker is their biggest – and best sounding – to date, with two 4.5-inch high-excursion woofers and two 0.7-inch tweeters. Six far-field mics are included to listen to your request for Google Assistant who can answer your queries, control your smart home devices and of course play music for you.

The speaker is available to order now for $549 in either Charcoal or Chalk colour options from the Google Store online where it will be shipped to you with free delivery around August 13-16. If that’s too long to wait, you should be able to head in-store at your local Officeworks, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, David Jones and JB Hi-Fi stores and pick one up today.

The sound on the Google Home Max is both clear and BIG. We’ve been checking it out over the past week and we’re in love. If you want to see our review you can check it out right here.

Even after spending $549, don’t we still need a Youtube Premium subscription to play song in Youtube?

You can also use Spotify, deezer, Google music, apple music, iTunes, cast YouTube, even download your own music. I mean it’s literally a speaker you’re not limited to just the YouTube Music app…
