Vodafone has quietly added a new device to its prepaid line, with the Vodafone Smart E9 4G available from Vodafone for $99.
The Vodafone Smart E9 4G, is very much a budget prepaid handset offering budget specs for a budget price and is Vodafone’s second Android Go edition device. While Vodafone hasn’t outlined the update situation for their Android Go devices, we’ve reached out again to attempt to get more clarity.
With a Mediatek processor and 1GB of RAM it’s not going to be the fastest device in the world, it will get the job done. It has a decent-ish 5MP camera on the back, and a meagre 2MP shooter on the front that will be enough for a video call, or a low-res selfie.

That looks to be near identical, or a little worse, to the Telstra Essential Plus, which they are doing for $50 at the moment … with a free Google Home Mini thrown in for free.
