Yes, it’s that time of morning where we report on the Pixel 4 leaks from overnight. Late in the evening we had a coral-flavoured Pixel 4 leak, not long after a few hands on images appeared. Now we have a specs screen leaked showing the Pixel 4 XL details.
91mobiles has obtained an image overnight that is apparently a Pixel 4XL running the DevCheck Hardware and Software app. This information shows the display and chipset information.
The Pixel 4 XL (and most likely the Pixel 4) will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor — the older SD855 processor. It is interesting that they have gone with the chipset that was in phones at the beginning of the year and not the newer SD855+ although this is basically just an overclocked (clock speed and GPU) version or the former processor.
The specs of the display on the Pixel 4 XL are also revealed by the image. It will be a 6.23-inch display (AMOLED according to rumours and history) with a 1,440 x 3,040 pixel resolution display giving it a PPI of 540. As expected the display will also have a 19:9 aspect ratio along with a 90Hz refresh rate based on other leaks and rumours.
While it is interesting that Google are going with the Snapdragon 855 and not the newer Plus they have always relied upon their software to produce that fluid Pixel experience rather than the latest hardware so I would not be too concerned with that.
Hopefully the Pixel experience will not be hobbled by hardware this year like it was last year. At this stage it is unclear how much extra power is required for Soli operation but we hope that Google have already thought long and hard about that and have it in-hand.
I’m already saving up for one.

Lol, i doubt it but likely will still get it.
