I was a little surprised this morning to see an update hitting my Galaxy Note10+ which was for the Android 11 firmware update but also included Samsung One UI 3 update.
The new update with the One UI 3 includes a new, refreshed design that includes a slightly new interface visual effects that include Dim/Blur effect for notifications, smoother motion effects and animation, combined with natural haptic feedback, and more. You can check out Samsung post about the new changes in One UI 3 here.
Basically the update has improved the Samsung One UI version 2 the Galaxy Note10+ when it launched 3 years ago in October this year – with Samsung stating in December, her One UI 3 would be rolling out to Galaxy S20 series devices (Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra), Galaxy Note20, Z Fold2, Z Flip, Note10, Fold and S10 series with the Galaxy A devices of received the update during the first half of 2021, though no official timeframe or exact specific Galaxy A series of devices will receive the update.
Looking over at the 2 major telco’s stating the following regarding the update:
- Vodafone – Samsung Galaxy Note 10 4G & Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ to have the update rolling out soon
- Optus – Samsung Galaxy Note 10 4G & Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ in testing at the moment
- Telstra – No listing available
You can also check to see if you have the update by going into Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install to see if the update is ready for your device.
