Evidence is continuing to mount that the Motorola event scheduled for May 13th in London, is in fact to launch a new low-cost handset the Moto E. Indian importer/exporter Zauba have listed the handset with model # xt1022, which also lists some basic specs.
As you can see the manifest confirms the Motorola Moto E name and also the 4GB of internal storage which has been rumoured :
The manifest only lists the white version and confirms 4GB of internal storage, although it’s rumoured to be backed up by a microSD Card reader. Other specs rumoured for the Moto E include a 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU with 1GB RAM, 4.3″ 720P screen with a 5MP camera and running Android 4.4.
The price on the manifest: INR ₹6330 is equivalant to AUD$112 which adds to the rumour that the phone is likely an extremely low-cost device which would sit even cheaper than the so-called cheap Moto G. We’ll be watching the announcement from Motorola with keen interest to see what comes about, and also following up with Motorola Australia for more information on a local launch.
