There’s a number of feature improvements this year and, on the whole, it looks like an impressive upgrade. The audio is improved with an improved equalizer. This will add depth and clarity to different settings and provide a deeper audio experience for the user.
There’s improved bandwidth to improve call quality, music clarity and reduce latency when connected to Pixel devices. This gives a greater user experience and, far better performance when gaming. There’s even an update to the app for Chromebook, allowing simple connectivity and control of your earbuds while using a ChromeOS device; which also links in perfectly to the multipoint connectivity across your devices.
A feature that is welcome for users who work in office space is the automatic transparency that is turned on, and music pause if you begin speaking. That’s useful but where the update lifts the Pixel Buds Pro above multiple other options, is the resumption of play and re-engagement of your noise cancelling option.
The updated Pixel Buds Pro are available for pre-order today, including in the bay and porcelain colours. Sales start next week on the 12th of October for AU$299.00 across the usual retail channels.
