Successor to the Moto X possibly seen in the wild dressed up in an ugly box

It’s been known since Motorola themselves announced it during a Q&A session at Mobile World Congress, that a successor to the Moto X would be coming ‘This Summer’, and now it may have been seen out in the wild.

Clearly a larger sized phone than the Moto X, and hiding in plain sight in a dummy box, the phone is apparently rocking a 5″+ screen according to the person who supplied the blurry cam shot below of a phone spotted in the Chicago subway.

Manufacturers, as well as carriers regularly test out new models internals in the field in these dummy boxes – don’t they Jason 😉 – so this is not a terribly large surprise. There’s not much more to see here and whether Motorola decides to release the ‘Moto X+1’ – as it’s been called on the official Motorola webpage – in Australia is unknown, but we certainly hope they do.
